I'm going to vent here. When did Thursdays become the new Fridays?
It's bad enough that we have to put up with the loud music , microphones, and drunks yelling until 3am every Friday night up by the bar area near the lake. And also hear the cars squealing up and down Hubbard rd. like they're in an Indy race going back and forth, and motorcycles with loud pipes at 3 am, but now it's going on Thursday nights as well??? It's a WORK NIGHT for most people who are unfortunate to live in the area, and not everyone closes their refridgerated houses up all summer long. For gosh sakes, doesn't anybody have courtesy anymore?

No they do not Mrs. Granger, sad to say. These punks have no consideration for anyone except them selves.

Try talking to the Chief about it and see what he tell's you. GOOD LUCK.

Thanks, Granpaw. I'm afraid I was just born in the wrong era. :indiff (22)

I live almost to Bennett Road and if I leave my windows open to catch a refreshing night breeze, I too am blasted out of bed by the motorcycle sounds. The awful thing is that five or six of them are my neighbors!!!! Brrrrrrrrrrmmm! Idiots. And yet sober, they are some of the nicest guys I've ever known.

I remember sixty years ago when I was a lovely little fatima, and the area wasn't so built up and overgrown, we cvould hear the soft sounds of waves gently lapping on the pebbles at the beach. Fatima longs for those days, but I think they are gone. :icon_cry2:

OK, so I'm reading about Ohio U being the country's #2 party school and this thread comes to mind...

http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/educat ... ty-schools

"That's what people look forward to starting Thursday -- Thursday night is the new Friday night," said junior Andrew Chappell, 20.
"The party atmosphere is such a big part of Georgia."
