9/11 terrorist attack. George Bush was criticized for taking FOUR MINUTES to get out of an elementary school while his staff was gathering additional info on just what had happened in NYC. The rest of his RESPONSE is HISTORY. DON'T MESS WITH GEORGE!!! :yup

George Bush was criticized for not doing enough after Hurricane Katrina because it took TWO DAYS to get aid flowing into the area. Don't forget, a mayor and a governor FAILED to take appropriate actions to protect their citizens but it is easier to blame George. :yup

Now, the oil spill from the BP well drilling rig. IT HAS TAKEN OBAMA NINE DAYS TO DO ANYTHING AND GUESS WHAT? IT IS TO LATE!!! A disaster of a huge magnitude that could impact the Gulf Coast for years and what was Obama doing? Flying around the country talking about banking reform and screaming about the law passed in AZ to protect their borders from illegal immigrants. If this would have been Bush they would be trying to impeach him. What was Obama's first action in the oil spill crisis? Send Holder and his lawyers there. :rofl

There are decisive leaders and then there are people who do not know how nor do they understand the word..............LEADERSHIP. Bush wins hands down as a leader. Obama wins hands down as someone who does not have a clue about what the American people want and need. Just ask the 12.9% unemployed in this country.

You must be referring to Sarah Palin because no one in Florida is wanting to drill right now. Of course I am sure Obama and all his far left liberals have it all figured out on how we can become our own supplier of energy. They are just keeping it a secret. :yup

Tim, I know you are far smarter than you like to portray yourself. You just like to stir the pot to get reactions which I am happy to give to you. I just DO NOT believe that you could possibly be happy with the past 16 months that we have suffered through...................and do not even make an attempt to blame Bush. You know better. Beating that broken down drum is really getting old.

A very popular Governor here in Florida went down in flames and had to leave the Republican party all because of his hug of Obama and acceptance of a stimulus package that has done nothing to build jobs in this country. Florida unemployment? Nearly 13% !!!

Thank you Obama for putting America back to work with the stimulus money. :rofl :rofl :rofl

"The ocean will take care of this on its own if it was left alone and left out there. It's natural. It's as natural as the ocean water is." - Rush Limbaugh :rofl

U.S. Loan to Brazilian Oil Company Riles Conservatives in Favor of Offshore Drilling

President Obama has opposed any expanded oil drilling off American shores largely on environmental grounds, turning a deaf ear to conservative cries of "Drill, Baby, Drill."

But now Obama may start hearing cries of "foul" after the U.S. Export-Import Bank promised Petrobras, Brazil's state-owned oil company, $2 billion in loan guarantees to help finance lucrative drilling off the shores of Rio De Janeiro.

Some see a contradiction in an executive branch agency, independent but with board members appointed by the president, facilitating abroad the very kind of energy exploration Obama opposes domestically.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Thursday he wasn't prepared to address the issue.

"I have not seen the story," he said. "I'd have to take a look."

But former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a vocal proponent of offshore drilling, had plenty to say.

"So why is it that during these tough times, when we have great needs at home, the Obama White House is prepared to send more than $2 billion of your hard-earned tax dollars to Brazil so that the nation's state-owned oil company, Petrobas, can drill off shore and create jobs developing its own resources?" she asked on her Facebook page.

In fact, the Export-Import bank receives no appropriations from Congress and thus does not rely on American taxpayer dollars and is also not "sending" $2 billion to the Brazilian company but offering lines of credit to U.S. firms so they can compete to land contracts as part of Petrobras' drilling operations.

The $2 billion "preliminary commitment" by the Export-Import Bank to Petrobras is expected to grow, as the U.S. competes on behalf of American exporters of goods and services against those from China. Beijing has extended a commitment of $10 billion -- but the Brazilians are said to prefer U.S. management and technology.

Then there is the George Soros angle.

The New York-based hedge fund firm controlled by the billionaire philanthropist and backer of Democratic causes and campaigns bought and sold millions of shares in Petrobras -- the largest of the firm's holdings -- prior to public disclosure of the Export-Import bank's offer of new credit guarantees to the Brazilian energy giant.

No one has accused Soros of wrongdoing, but some say the transactions do not pass the "smell test.

tk7616,

Maybe Rush isn't so dumb after all. What he said and the info in your post IS NOW HAPPENING! The Gulf is renewing itself as we speak. Isn't it amazing how the naysayers drop off the face of the earth when things begin to happen that were promoted by CONSERVATIVES and not far left LIBERALS ?
